Hughena Elizabeth Deveau

She was born in Sydney, on February 21, 1945, to Neil H. and Marion MacKinnon of Grand Mira South. Hughena is survived by her children James (Monica), Noelle Skelly, Sandy, grandchildren, James, Amanda, Amy, Ashley, Brianna, Kaitlin, Alexander, and great-grandchildren Haley, Abby, Olivia and Jaden.

She is also survived by siblings Anne Miller, Florence (Eddie) Roper, Alena (Bruce) Turnbull, Russell (Michelle), Campbell, Angus (Margaret), sisters-in-law Barb Mackinnon, Joan MacKinnon and four stepchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Hughena was predeceased by husbands, Jeff Jeffers and Roger Deveau as well as son Bobby Jeffers, and sibling Pauline, Edna, Fabe, Joe, Bryden, C.P. and Charlie.

Special thanks to Joan for her and Charlie's constant care of mom over the years. Also thanks to mom's sisters Anne and Alena for staying with her in her final days. We thank the many doctors in Sydney and Halifax, VON, the Cancer Centre, Palliative Care, and Homecare (especially Jennifer MacKinnon) and to Fr. MacDougall for your visit and prayers.
