

It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and godmother, the longest surviving matriarch of the Peck's, Jean who peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 15, 2026 following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Wagmatcook on January 11, 1945, Jean was the daughter of the late Mary Susan (Isadore) and Gabriel Peck.
Jean is survived by her loving children Clayton (Elizabeth) Jane, Janet (Noel), Glenn and her special babies Carolyn Jean (Rick) and Ruben. She is also survived by sister Jane Rose and brother Wilfred Cremo as well as 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 3 godchildren Maynard Marshall, Maria Paul and Adrian Polchies.
Jean is predeceased by her brothers Michael (June) Peck, Ben (Elizabeth) Peck, sisters Agnes (Bernard) Marshall, Bella (Peter) Paul, Josephine (John) Marshall and Barbara (Matthew) Cremo, grandchildren Kobe and Gabriel, great grandchildren Chaya and Denzel, goddaughter Audrey Cremo and her loving partner Stephen Battiste.
Jean was well known for her immense sense of humour, her quick wit, and her love of nature. She truly enjoyed being around others, always made you welcome and her door was always open for anyone in need.
Visitation will take place at the Gabriel Centre in Eskasoni starting at 7pm on Tuesday, January 20th and continuing until the mass which will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 22nd at Holy Family Church with Fr.
