He was of quick wit and had strong beliefs that guided him through life. He was always ready with a funny story or joke to lighten the mood. He worked at St. Rita’s Hospital then to the CBRH where retired from in 2000, after 35 years of service.
He leaves behind his wife, Paulette Corbett of 37 years of marriage; his son, Michael Corbett and partner, Allan MacLellan and his step-daughter, Allison Angell Oliver and her husband, Kirk Oliver; two special grandsons, Cody Rendell and Carson Oliver who he loved very much. Also surviving is brother, Frank and his wife, Bonnitta and sisters, Joan MacKeigan and Ruth Morris along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by both his parents, William and Margaret.
As per John’s wishes, cremation will take place and no visitation or service will be held.
