Margaret Mary MacNeil Campbell

88, Campbell’s Hill

Margaret Mary Campbell (MacNeil), a resident of the Cove Guest Home and formerly of Campbell’s Hill, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 7, 2007, in the arms of her family, at the age of 88 years.

She was the daughter of the late Dan A. and Margaret (MacNeil) MacNeil of Beaver Cove.

Margaret was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, Westmount, and a member of the parish CWL, and a member of St. John’s Ambulance for many years.

Margaret worked at Co-Op grocery store in Ashby for a number of years.

She is survived by six daughters and one son who with heavy hearts celebrate a wonderful full life knowing that Mom is in God’s hands, Mary Margaret (Jake Williams), Edwardsville, Bernadine (Gilbert Lewis), Point Edward, Donna (Aubrey Brown), Lower Sackville, Danny (Ann Marie), Sydney River, Theresa (Neil Gallagher), Winnipeg, Goretti MacLean, Victoria, B.C., and Norma (John Groves), Bedford. Margaret is also survived by a sister, Theresa Bell, Hamilton, Ont.; by sisters-in-law, Irene Campbell, Sydney, and Peggy Tilly, Glace Bay; stepdaughter, Ann (Dan) Jesty, Peterborough, Ont.; stepsons, Chester (Sylvia) Campbell, Oshawa, and Hector (Ollie) Campbell, Sydney. Nanny is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild, all who will miss her gentle loving ways.

Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, John Vincent MacLean (Boisdale), by her second husband, Bruce Campbell, Campbell’s Hill, and two brothers, Michael and Roddie.

Visitation for the late Margaret Campbell took place on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at T.W Curry Parkview Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, June 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Westmount, with Rev. Doug Murphy officiating.

Interment was in Boisdale Parish Cemetery.
