Mary Theresa Cremo

Mary Theresa (Delace) Cremo, age 70 of 93 George Street, Eskasoni NS passed away suddenly at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on February 27, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Marshall and the late Irene Marshal (Paul). She was a member of the Eskasoni Holy Family Parish.

Mary (Delace) was known to be kind, humble, caring and always helped out at Salité days. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She always loved to dance and listen to music. She was a dialysis patient for 2 1/2 years. She was married to Martin Cremo for 48 1/2 years, overall 50+ years together. She loved her Timmy cruises with her baby girl, Molly.

Mary (Delace) is survived by the love of her life, her husband Martin Cremo Sr. She leaves behind her five sons, Martin Cremo Jr, Robin Cremo, William Cremo, Melvin Cremo (Ange), Preston Cremo and only daughter Molly Cremo (Dallas).

She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Michael Cremo Sr, Robert Sylliboy (Mary), and Douglas Paul; sisters-in-law Martha Whitall (Dave), Jeanie Rose (Dave), Marion Hutchings (George),Cathy Lewis, and Catherine Dennis; daughter-in-law Selena Jane Marshal-Cremo; grandchildren, Sonja Marshall, Laycia Sylliboy, Savonna Sylliboy (Freda), Sage Marshall, Ekkian Cremo, Ma'lkm Cremo, Peter Cremo, Mary Gloade, Frenchie Bernard-Cremo, Presley Bernard-Cremo, Irene Gould, and Joseph Cremo-Gould; great-grandchildren, John Marshall Jr, Kenzie Marshall, Luke Marshall, Mia Knockwood, Haven Knockwood, Michael Knockwood, Gabriel Knockwood, her fur baby Bimbo and godchildren, Cheryl Poulette, and Cecilia Morley.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her sons, Malcolm Steve Cremo and infant son Malcolm Steve Cremo, sisters Judina Poulette, Jean Poulette and Anita Marshall.

She will be missed by her dialysis family, her husband and children, her Jolly's Irene and Joseph. Many thanks to the Dialysis nurses, Dr Marshall and the Eskasoni Healthcare workers.

Visitation will take place at Gabriel Centre, 50 Gabriel Street, Eskasoni, NS, on March 7, 2026, beginning at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 50 Gabriel Street, Eskasoni, NS, on March 9, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am.
