We regret to announce the sudden and enexpected passing of Renee Anne Peck of Wagmatcook First Nation on July 9, 2020, at Baddeck Victoria County Memorial Hospital. Born in Baddeck, whe was the daughter of Bernard Francis “Bernie” Peck and Eunice Marie (Googoo) Peck.
She was an avid employee (teacher) of the Wagmatcook Early Childhood Education System for the past 28 years. Her heart was so full of love for her former and present students that she considered them as her own. PEI also had a special place in her heart where she loved to visit with her travel buddy Audrey. She also loved to visit and enjoy the company of her many close friends that had a very special place in her heart as well. Renee was an enormously proud Montreal Canadian and Green Bay Packers fan. She loved her crafts and interior decorations that drew the children from her community to admire her work especially during Halloween and Christmas. We can not fail to mention that she was the most kind and generous person you can imagine and always there for family and friends in any time of need and always had a smile on her face.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her brothers Ronnie Francis Peck (Serena) Wagmatcook, Corey James Googoo We’ko’maq, sister Katherine Leanne Francis Corbett (Patrick), nieces Dawn, Shakira, Myah, Jenna and Kalle Bay, nephews Blaise, Miguel, Ethan and Korbin Dwayne and grand niece Jazzalene. She is also survived by her God parents Geraldine Googoo of Wagmatcook and Dennis Isadore of Wagmatcook, God children Quinn, Keneil, Dante, John, Faith and Kalle along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother Dwayne Daniel Peck, grandparents Peter and Helen (Pierro) Googoo, Mary Janet Isadore and step grandfather Isadore T. Isadore, aunt Sylvia Googoo, uncle Wilfred Googoo and Henry Isadore all of Wagmatcook.
