Robert ‘Bob’ Albert Fox of Sydney, passed away peacefully in his 65th year in hospital.
Born in Ontario, he was the son of the late Robert and Irene (Noakes) Fox.
Bob, a career military man and firefighter, was loved and admired by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed for his great sense of humour and endless compassion, fatherly advice and non-judgmental demeanour.
He is survived be sons, Richard, Sydney, and Robert (Bob) Penny, Pembroke, Ont.; grandchildren, Robert (Keenan), Colin and Spencer; brother, Wayne; sister, Hilda; sister and brothers-in-law, Nora Merendino, Richard and Bill Fogarty.
Many thanks to the people who supported Bob over the past year, special thanks to Dan, Sheri, Sharon, Hayley, Bernie and Theresa.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Connie (Fogarty).
There will be a celebration of Bob’s life on Wednesday, March 31 at the Sydney Curling Club, George Street, from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral arrangement is under the care and direction of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, 539-3002.
Donations can be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Sydney.
