Roderick Francis Eskasoni

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Roderick ‘Achum’Francis, age 76 of Eskasoni on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the CBRH, Palliative Care.

Born in Afton, NS, he was the son of the late Stephen P. and Annie Claire (Paul) Francis.

Rod lived with his sister Josephine in Eskasoni and was a member of Holy Family parish. Roderick was a residential school survivor. He loved the outdoors, fishing and working with his hands building and repairing. He is survived by his sisters, Caroline and Josephine Francis; brothers Alex (Mary), Daniel and David Francis and many nieces and nephews.

Rod was predeceased by siblings, Catherine, Rose Marie, Norman, Ryan, Marion, Angus, Joseph and Jonas Francis and nephew Paul Francis.

We would like to thank the staff of Palliative Care and Dr. Todd for their compassionate care.
