In early years Shirley was president of TOPS, she ran in the Olympic torch relay in 1988 and was also president of the local chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, she drove for the Celtic Colours and the East Coast Music Awards. Shirley also volunteered for the Red Cross and is now very thankful for their help and understanding. She is also very thankful for those who helped her on this journey the nurses, staff and doctors on floor 4C at the CBRH especially our family physician Dr. L. Gammell, VON and many home care workers, too many to name, you know who you are. You know how my brain fog is cloudy, so please forgive me if I have missed anyone. I know you will.
No flowers please, donate to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of your choice.
