Susan Marshall

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Susan ‘Susie’ Marshall passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family On October 23, 2019.

She was born on May 6, 1932 in Sydney N.S.

She was survived by her children: sons: Mike, Peter, George, Fred, Charlie, Patrick, Henry, Pius, Jim, Brooks and Andrew; daughters: Mary C (Doose), Mary Ann, Anna, Charmaine, Amanda, Sueanne, Bobbilee and Gloria; daughters- In-law: Margie, Malklit, Kim, Sonia, and Kimberly; brothers: Levi Denny, Peter Cabot and Peter Christmas; sister in-law Annie Mae Darville, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, watch-you-got friends and by many special friends.

She was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Eskasoni and a member of Mi’kmaw Grand Council of the Se’t A’n Mawiomi as the Mi’kmaw Prayer Leader and also the Queen of Prayers for Mi’kma’ki.

She was predeceased by her husband Louis Peter Marshall of Eskasoni, parents Harriet Denny of Eskasoni and Duncan Gould of Membertou. sons: Louis Joseph Marshall of Eskasoni and Peter Francis of Chapel Island, brother: Howard Gaberaeu of Kamloops, B.C

Visitations will take place on Saturday October 26, 2019 at the Gabriel Center in Eskasoni after 4pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Holy Family Church in Eskasoni on Monday October 28, 2019 at 2pm. Followed by Salite’/Auction at the Sarah Denny Memorial Cultural Center in Eskasoni.
