Theresa Ernestine LeBlanc

85, Sydney

Theresa Ernestine LeBlanc, of Parkland Residence formerly of Cottage Road passed away peacefully on Sunday August 18, 2013 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in North Sydney she was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Theresa (McNeill) Lake.

She was a long time member of the St. Joseph’s Parish, Sydney.

Theresa was a graduate of the Halifax Infirmary and nursed in the Sydney area for the majority of her career and also in places such as Montreal in her early years. She was an avid reader and walker and loved to be outdoors.

She is survived by a brother David “Coley” Lake of Calgary. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and was particularly close to nieces Paula Kennedy and Janet DeGiobbi.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter Alexander LeBlanc in 2006; brothers, Arthur, Stuart, and Barry in infancy and a sister Catherine Peck.

There will be no visitation for the late Mrs. LeBlanc. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:30 pm on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at St. Marquerite de Bourgeois (formerly St. Joseph’s Church).

Interment to follow in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Theresa may be made to a charity of choice.
