Father Howard, a loving brother to Bernice, uncle to her boys John R. (Jennifer) and their family, Patrick (Martine) and their family, and brother-in-law to John. Each year as we trekked "from away" to Cape Breton, we cherish the memories of summers spent in Main-A-Dieu with Father Howard, and grandparents Rose and Tom. Father Howard was a gracious host when we visited him in his many country parishes, especially Dingwall and Margaree. Father Howard may have passed to his eternal reward, but he will be forever remembered in our hearts. Rest in peace Father Howard. John F.

My condolences to Father Tom’s family,

I met Father Tom when he was the parish priest at St. Mary’s Polish parish. We had many great conversations about spirituality, ethics and Main a Dieu - a village my parents loved. We viewed a National Film Board movie about Main a Dieu that he was part of in the 1950’s. In recent years, I would often see him at parish events and he always made a point of asking me about my career. He was a great supporter of the Polish church, people and customs and will be missed.
