Mr. Billie Ray Taylor, age 82, of Sylacauga, died January 23, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ollie Taylor; brothers, Truman Taylor and Bobby Taylor; and sister, Martha Odom. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Georgia Taylor of Sylacauga; his sons, Ray Edward Taylor (Della) of Denver, CO, and James Allen Taylor of Sylacauga; brother, Wayne Taylor of Sylacauga; sister, Katherine Griffin of Lineville, Faye Cook of Sylacauga, and Trudy Palmer of Trussville; and granddaughter, Heather Taylor. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the chapel with the Reverend Claude Thompson officiating.
