Sylacauga, AL. - Charles S Rogers, age 89, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Charles was born in Brooklyn, New York.
Charles is survived by his wife, Sue Rogers; children, Rhonda Schabel (Dan), Ty Rogers, Paul Rogers; grandchildren, Whitney Stone (Conner), Clay Wesson (Lauren); and great grandchildren, Vander Stone, Lily Stone, Hensley Wesson and Addie Wesson.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Maddie D'Angelo.
Charles was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Gideons International, Carpenters for Christ, CVMC Auxiliary, and Bass Masters of Sylacauga. He was the previous mayor of Oak Grove from 2000 till 2005
A visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Max Buttram officiating.
Charles will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, AL 35150.
Serving as pallbearers are Dan Schabel, Ty Rogers, Paul Rogers, Clay Wesson, Conner Stone, Justin Jenkins and Vander Stone. Honorary pallbearers will be Men's Sunday School Class of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
