Daniel was a fan of the Atlanta Braves. He loved Alabama Football and enjoyed playing golf.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Ashcraft; his son Robert Peoples (Nicole) of Alpine, Alabama; his granddaughter Gracie Peoples, his grandson Robert Peoples and his lifelong friend Greg Smith.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father William Dayton "Red" Ashcraft and his mother Myrla C. Ashcraft.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
