David Wood MiddletonSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for David Wood Middleton, 78, will be Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at Westview Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Roberts officiating. He will lie in state 1 hour prior to service.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Middleton died Wednesday, June 8, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Jasper and Oma Middleton. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church for 33 years. He was the Marine Corp Tennis champion in 1957.He loved old western movies and tennis.He is survived by his wife Barbara Middleton; daughter, Cindy "LuLu" Wilson and husband Mike; son, Michael "Frog" Murphy and wife Jennifer; granddaughters Kate Lynn Letcher and  Elizabeth "Libby" Letcher; grandson, Tyler Wilson. Visitation will be Friday June 10, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. at Radney Smith Funeral Home.Pallbearers will be Michael Murphy, Mike Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Justin Browning, Jeremy Browning, and Josh Davison.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
