Since childhood, you have been my friend
and now, much too soon, it has come to an end.
I remember the days at the skating rink
and how you didn't care what others would think.
You lived your life according to Debbie Brown
and life will be different, without you around. 
Through the years, we lost touch, as many people seem to do
but my friend, I have never forgotten you.
Your life of heartache and pain, has now come to an end,
but memories live on and I will miss you my friend.
