Debra Haisten Hurt, passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on January 22, 1956, in Sylacauga, Alabama, Debra spent her life in her beloved hometown.

She is survived by her daughter, Emily McElrath (Omar), and her son, Cam Hurt (Amanda). Debra was a devoted grandmother to Meagan Vick (Mason), Abby Hurt, Patience McElrath, and Paislee McElrath, and a cherished great-grandmother to Beckham Vick. Her sisters, Phyllis Ellison (Ray) and Cindy Johnston (Brian), along with two nephews and one niece, also mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Judson D. Haisten and Gloria Haisten.

Debra loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and her warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, located at 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, Alabama, 35150, on November 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Debra will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The service will be officiated Rev. David Vick.

Her memory will be cherished by her family and friends, who will forever hold her spirit in their hearts.
