Donald "Donnie" Wayne Meherg

Donald "Donnie" Meherg, Born March 16, 1965, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025. Donnie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, pastor, and friend whose presence left a lasting mark on everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Meherg, and his brother, Glen Meherg. He is survived by his mother, Carol Meherg; his loving wife, Tommie Sue Meherg; his son, Daniel (Mallory) Meherg; his daughter, Victoria Meherg; and his beloved grandchildren, Crimson, Grayson, McKenzie Kate, and Oakley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and his beloved dog, Max, who will deeply miss his vibrant spirit.

Donnie lived a life rooted in service and faith. As a pastor and caregiver, he offered comfort, guidance, and laughter to many. He had a deep love for his family, animals, and the peaceful moments spent fishing. Known for his quick wit and a fashion sense as bold and bright as his personality, Donnie lit up every room he entered.

His legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation for Donnie will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Sylacauga, AL, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Donnie will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

The family will be receiving flowers or in lieu of flowers, contributions in Donnie's memory may be made to Sylacauga Animal Shelter.
