Evelyn Dudney Nelson

Evelyn Dudney Nelson age 90 of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away January 31, 2018 at her residence. Services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with Brother Mike Kiser officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 AM at Curtis and Son North Chapel.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her daughter, Kathy Nelson Dodson and husband Gary of Sparta, TN.; Son, James Richard Nelson and wife Pat of Sylacauga; Sister, Martha Dudney Jones age 106 of Huntsville; Grandchildren, Tony Richard Nelson, Kellye Joann Nelson, Rachel Dodson Hunter and Melissa Dodson Conly; Great Grandchildren, Chase Hunter, Grey Hunter, Collins Hunter, Kaden Smallwood, Connor Smallwood and Rita Fallon.

Mrs. Nelson was preceded in by her husband James Milton Nelson and daughter, Rita Kaye Nelson. Mrs. Nelson was a longtime faithful member of Sylacauga Church of Christ. The Family would like to especially thank the caregivers for Mrs. Nelson; Carrie Henry, Carrie Cummings and Brenda Cravens.
