Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Floy Demareth "Marty" Brasher, 76, will be Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro. Max Buttram officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mrs. Brasher died Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Floyd Joiner and wife, Prathel, sister, Angela Wilson, nephew, Michael "Frog" Murphy, and niece, Bethany Norris. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, and a special Nana. Marty was a special sister and loving wife. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Oak Grove. During her life she was employed for many years at the Sylacauga Hospital in payroll and School of Nursing as secretary.
Marty served as the Administrative Secretary to the Provost/Associate Dean of Instruction, Division of Nursing and Allied Health at Central Alabama Community College. She enjoyed shopping and eating out with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, WB "Wayne" Brasher; son, David (Angie) Brasher; two grandchildren, Levi Parker, Brantlee Brasher; sister, Barbara Middleton; niece, Cindy "Lulu" (Mike) Wilson; and special pet, Bella.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or donation to 1st Baptist Church of Oak Grove, 40190 US Highway 280, Sylacauga, AL.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Chappell, Shelby Blackerby, Mike Wilson, Dylan Edwards, Levi Parker and Brantlee Brasher.
