Floyd Alton PeoplesChildersburg, AL - Funeral service for Floyd Alton Peoples, 80, will be Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Bob Blankenship officiating.  Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery in Alpine, AL.Mr. Peoples died Friday, April 26, 2013 at his residence. He worked for Talladega County Road Department, Morretti-Harrah Marble Company, the Block Plant in Sylacauga, the Sycamore quarry, and then he founded Peoples Sanitation in 1969.  He was a very loving husband and father and attended Bible Methodist Church in Talladega.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Levonia Peoples; brothers, Aubrey Peoples, Doyle Peoples, James Peoples and J.W. Peoples; and great-granddaughter, Haley Faith Peoples.He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Peoples; son, Sandy Peoples, wife Doris, of Childersburg; daughter, Kathy Gable Roberson, husband Sammy, of Childersburg; brother, Rev. Charles Ray Peoples of Childersburg; sister, Faye Gooden of Oklahoma City, OK; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Blois Peoples, Steve Peoples, Bobby Gable, Cory Gable, Brandon Gable and Michael Gable.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
