Fred Thurman GoodenSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Fred Thurman Gooden, 87, will be Friday, September 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Jason Gravette officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville Methodist Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Gooden died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Una Gooden; three sisters and three brothers. He worked for Shell Cast for a number of years. Mr. Gooden helped build Logan Martin Dam. He retired from Southern Alloy as a machinist. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Gooden of Sylacauga; daughters, Carol Haynes, husband Rick of Sylacauga, Myra Austin, husband Dave of Ft. Payne, AL and Jane Hawkins, husband Jared of Kellyton, AL; son, Scott Gooden of Stewartville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
