Georgia Kline ShoemakerBirmingham, AL - Graveside service for Georgia Kline Shoemaker, 86, will be Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery in Oneonta, AL with Rev. Mari Beth Poor officiating. Mrs. Shoemaker died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Walton E. Shoemaker and sister, JoAnn Schmidt.  She was retired from the Social Security Administration.  She was a member of Taylor Road Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL.She is survived by her sons, David Walton Shoemaker, wife Peggy of St. Mary's GA and Dennis Kline Shoemaker, wife Ann of Chelsea, AL; daughter, Linda Shoemaker McClain, husband Marcus of Rockford; sister, Mary Unruh of Oklahoma City, OK; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the general mission fund or to Wycliff Bible Translators (Tori Wilder Mission) at Marble City Baptist Church, 1512 Quarry Road, Sylacauga, AL.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
