Gerald Wayne MorrisSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Gerald Wayne Morris, 66, will be Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Webb and Rev. Donnie Blackmon officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL .Mr. Morris died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Dennis Morris, parents, George and Clara Morris, two sisters, Cora Miller, and Louise Nicholson, two brothers, T.J. Morris, and Luther Morris.  He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp where he was awarded a purple heart while serving in the Vietnam War.  Mr. Morris was retired from Kimberly Clark.He is survived by his daughters, Shelby Morris Vandergriff and Catrina Morris Skelton both of Sylacauga, son, Dustin Morris wife Megan of Boaz, AL, sisters, Mavis Davis husband Willard of Sylacauga, Betty Sanford husband Jerry of Fayette, AL and Dorothy Burns husband Ray of Nauvoo, AL, brothers, James Morris wife Myrtle of Fayetteville, AL and Robert Morris wife Nancy of Sylacauga, grandchildren, Sharon Vandergriff, Matthew Skelton, Michael Skelton, Justin Skelton, J. C. Skelton, Tiffany Skelton and Josh Skelton, step-grandchild Annika Vandergriff, special grandchildren, Sarah Webb, Lilleigh Webb and Henley Havens, nieces, Diane Mauldin, Denise Dierksen, Dawn Collins.Visitation will be Tuesday May 5, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at Radney Smith Funeral HomePallbearers will be Andre Dennis, Spencer Dennis, Dexter Nicholson, Kendall Mullis, Matthew Skelton, Michael Skelton, Justin Skelton, and Sandy Davis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Dawson and Newton Sanders.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
