Harold T. Riggins Jr. "BoJangles" "Pawpaw", age 81, reunited with his loving wife of 48 years, Sherry Riggins, in heaven on October 12, 2023. Harold was born April 5, 1942. He was an Army veteran, worked in the food industry for many years, and retired from security.
He is survived by his furbaby Olivia Lynn; daughters Sherold Ezekiel (Scott), Kimberly Hollis (Chuck), Karen Riggins, Tina Riggins; sons Steven Riggins, Harold Riggins III (Denise), Michael Riggins (Susan); Brother Joe Crump Jr. (Janice), sisters Linda Riggins, Helen White (David), Donna Green; Grandchildren Devon Riggins (Nicole), Polaris Riggins (Foster), Heather Pauly (Stephen), Madison Meador, Bryan Vincent, Matthew Riggins (Kaitlyn), John Riggins, Nicolas Riggins, Sarah Riggins, Blake Riggins (Michelle), Brandon Riggins, and a handful more of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Harold Riggins Sr., mother Francis Murphy, sister Cathy Riggins, brother David Riggins, and grandchild RC Koppie.
Harold had many friends from all walks of life. His favorite thing to do, other than living life with his wife, was to catch up with his CB buddies. He had tons of jokes and truly believed laughter was the best medicine. People who knew him would say, "They don't make 'em like him no more."
Harold wanted to respect his wife's wishes and not have a service for people to mourn over. He wanted to be remembered for the good times and everyone be at peace until we are all reunited again.
"I want you to kiss the 12, pat the 44's on the head, tell them you talked to worldwide and famous reverend doctor ear plugger in the mobile and I'm still zeroxing your mail." -BoJangles, aka Godfather, aka Greasy Spoon
Lord Jesus, holy and compassionate; forgive his sins.
By dying you unlocked the gates of life for those who believe in You.
Do not let our brother be parted from You,
but by Your glorious power give him light,
joy and peace in heaven where You live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.
May almighty God bless us with His peace and strength,
The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
