Talladega, AL - James Earl Ivey, age 73, of Sycamore, Alabama passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. James was born June 12, 1947 to Christine McDonald Ivey and Earl Leroy Ivey.
James was a true cowboy with a heart for God. He was known for proudly wearing his cowboy hat each day. James not only loved his family beyond measure, he also never encountered a stranger. James was a beloved friend to all who met him. He enjoyed spending his days riding his motorcycle, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends.
James is survived by his ex-wife, best friend, and the love of his life, Sue Ivey; daughter Sherry Ivey Bentley (Gary) of Sylacauga, Alabama; daughter Gina Ivey Wilkins (Zyndal) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and son Kevin Ivey (Ruby) of Sycamore, Alabama; step-mother Sylvia Ivey; grandchildren Lacey Pody, Zackery Wilkins, Josh Rogers, Dustin Bentley (Dakota), Jayla Prince (Brandon), Jacob Ivey, and Jordan Ivey; and great grandchild Willow Rogers.
James was preceded in death by father Earl Leroy Ivey and mother Christine McDonald Ivey.
