Funeral service for Jerry Lee Mooney, age 67, of Sylacauga will be Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1PM at Weogufka Family Worship Center with Reverend Tommy Thornton officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. He was born May 4, 1945 to Connie and O’Neal Mooney. He was a loving dad, stepdad, and pawpaw. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved the outdoors and loved Alabama football. He was also on the Board of Trustees at Weogufka Family Worship Center. Left to mourn his death is his wife of 30 years: Ethel Deason Mooney of Sylacauga, Daughter: Cristy Lynn Hannah (Jerry) of Pell City, Step-daughter: Rita Perry, Step-sons: Darryl K. Perry of Sylacauga, Rodney W. Taylor of Weogufka, Grandchildren: Cody Woods, Santana Harmon, Chad, Brandon and Noah Perry, Trent Taylor and Torie Grubbs (Houston), Sister: Carolyn Dobbs (Butch) of Sylacauga, Brothers: Paul Mooney (Shirley) of Weogufka, Cecil Mooney (Sherry) of Weogufka and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Curtis and Son North Chapel will direct the services.
