Jerry was born March 13th, 1941 in Sylacauga, AL, the son of Arista and Mable (Smith) Parsons.
Jerry was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the Apalachicola Northern Railroad. He was a skilled wood craftsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Betty Duncan Parsons; son, Jerry Wayne Parsons, Jr.; daughter, Theresa DeAnn (Smith) Franklin; son, Jerry Wayne Parsons, III "Trey"; granddaughter, Ashley Parsons; great granddaughter, Daysha Abrams.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Jerri Ann (Jimmy) Goins of Fayetteville, AL.; daughter, Dena Lachelle Parsons of Sylacauga, AL.; daughter, Deborah (Darrell) Senn of Fayetteville, AL.; sister Jean Weherley; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service held at Marble City Cemetery on Monday, August 16th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers can be sent to Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL, will direct the services.
