John Leslie "Les" Nickolson was born on January 5, 1950, in Bessemer, AL, the youngest son of William A. Nickolson and Eleanor K. Nickolson. Les passed on March 15, 2026, in Sylacauga, AL.

Les is preceded in death by his parents William A. Nickolson and Eleanor K. Nickolson, brother Wilbur Nickolson, sister Martha Hankins and grandson James Dillan Lang.

He is survived by his wife Susan W. Nickolson, 3 children, Ellen King (Scott), Paul Nickolson, (Jen), John Nickolson (Stephanie), and granddaughter Carly Nickolson.

A private service will be held to honor Les' life.
