Memorial service for John Daniel Nickolson age 32, of Sylacauga will be Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 2PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Reverend Rodney Frost officiating. Mr. Nickolson was a good husband and father, who proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves in Afghanistan. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Mr. John L. Nickolson and uncle: John Rodgers. He is survived by his wife: Megan Nickolson; children: Brody "B Man" Nickolson and Conner "Little Man" Nickolson; father: Mike Nickolson (Cindy); mother: Mona Hernandez; brothers: Scott Nickolson (Bobbi) and Drew; sister: Tasha; maternal grandparents: Sherman and Alice Rodgers; paternal grandmother: Claire Nickolson; mother and father-in-law: Dexter and Cindy Dowdy; sister-in-law: Jesse Bastian (Brian); niece: Jaygan; nephews: Luke Nickolson and Colby Green; he is also survived by a host of other relatives along with the many friends he made while in service to his country, whom he considered family. Curtis and Son North Chapel will direct the services.
