John Terry Sims Sr., age 84, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. John was born in Talladega, Alabama to Lena Sims and Morgan Sims.

John is survived by his daughters Tina Sims, Wendy Sims, Patricia Sims, and Marlie Sims; his sons Johnny Duran Sims and John T. Sims Jr.; his grandchildren Josh Sims, Chandler Robinson, Chad Robinson, Lena Marie Gardner, Richard Andrew Sanchez, Madison Dawn Sims, Alex Wathen, John Michael Wathen, and Rocky Sims and his 14 Great Grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Sims; his father Morgan Sims and his mother Lena Sims; his brothers Daniel Sim and Billy Morgan Sims Sr.; his grandchild Trinity King, and his great grandchild Kyleigh King.

A funeral service for John will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. John will be laid to rest in Riggins Town Cemetery. All services will be officiated by Rev. Billy Morgan Sims Jr.
