Juanita G. Wood

Mrs. Wood, the widow of Bob Wood, entered into rest on Friday, July 1, 2022. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. A memorial service will be held in Hartsville, SC at a later date.

Born on January 11, 1944, Mrs. Wood was the daughter of the late Willie and Virginia Gibson. She graduated from Hartsville High School, class of 1962, and Coker College.

Surviving are her daughter, Sara Beth Merriman, of Sylacauga; sons, John Merriman of Alabama and William Merriman of Indiana; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sister, Beth Gibson Byerly of Hartsville; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wood, and her brother, Nelson Gibson.
