Sylacauga, AL - Mrs. Lorraine Rowe Adamson, 79, died Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jim Adamson, Sr. and brother, Jimmy Rowe.
She was born in Carrollton, GA on March 6, 1942 to Harold and Verdie (Bagwell) Rowe. She graduated from Sylacauga High School and Sylacauga School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse. She spent many years caring for terminally ill patients in their homes.
She is survived by her three children, Jim (Betty Jo) Adamson Jr., Gregory Adamson, Lisa (Leo) Dickerson; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Portwood; two brothers, Phillip Rowe and Frank Rowe; and sister-in-law, Beverly (Bill) Huff.
Mrs. Adamson was an active member of First Baptist Church in Sylacauga for many years. During her years at FBC, she participated in In-Home In-Touch Ministries, Vacation Bible School, Judgment House, the Bereavement Committee and Sunday School.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Her favorite vacations were cruises and trips to the beach. Her happiest days were days spent with her children and grandchildren.
A private family service will be held. She will be buried at Parkdale Methodist Church Cemetery in Goodwater.
