Mary Ellen Gardner Rayfield

Mary Ellen Gardner Rayfield of Weogufka, AL, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga. She was 72 years old. Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband, Olan L. Gardner; daughter, Mary Jean Honeycutt; mother, Icy Crumbley; father, Guy Williamson; and brother, Charles T. Williamson. Survivors include her husband, Wendell P. Rayfield of Weogufka, AL; son, Edward Gardner (Pam) of Sylacauga, AL; daughters, Patricia DeLee (Ellis) of Sylacauga, AL; Teresa Lemond (Terrell) of Milton, FL; and Xantippe Matthews (Terry) of Millbrook, FL; sister-in-law, Jean Williamson of Weogufka, AL; grandchildren, Teresa Fisher, Lonnie Gardner, Chris Gardner, Matt Gardner, Melonie Seals, Angie Hudgins, Jeremy Honeycutt, Adam Honeycutt, Kelli Jaquish, Ryan Hicks, Autumn Matthews, Amanda Smith, Misty Smith, and Brandon Smith; and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 9, 2011 in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Tommy Thornton officiating.
