Mary "Dolly" Frances Goggins

Mrs. Goggins was preceded in death by her parents, Telbert and Dixie Lightsey; her brothers, Ray, Buddy, and Sherrill; her sisters, Faye, Doris, and Tina; and her beloved husband of what would have been 71 years this December, Isaac Huey Goggins Sr., who passed away in 2022. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life centered around her family.

She is survived by her children, Connie Holmes (Dennis), Tony Goggins (Trina), and Kim Wood; her grandchildren, Stephanie McGrady (Mike), Amanda Southwell (Daniel), Anthony Goggins (Jennifer), Hunter King (Jennifer), Amber Goggins, and Jay Wood (Shelby); great-grandchildren, Ian McGrady, Madilynn Albright, Emily McGrady, Bryant Billoto, Sydney Royster, Isabella King, Caden Nicholson, Kimber Matson, Rylan Harris, Alison King, Raelynn Southwell, and Dax Southwell; her brother, Mike Lightsey (Mandy); sister in law, Sonja Lightsey; and a host of nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.

Dolly retired from Avondale Mills, where she worked faithfully for 27 years as a rewinder operator in the Catherine. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother with a spunky spirit who enjoyed traveling, camping, and soaking up the sun. She often reminisced about special trips to Camp Helen, Panama City Beach, Gulf Shores, and Gatlinburg. She had a special gift for making a house feel like home, always offered a cold Coca-Cola to friends and family when they visited, and was happiest when preparing a wonderful meal and gathering her family around the table.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Jordan and Kelly with ACG Hospice, and her devoted private sitters, Dawn, Shannon, and Roxy, for their compassionate care and support.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel, 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on April 24, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at the same location on April 24, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm. All services will be officiated by Rev. Freddie Edwards.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Goggins, Jay Wood, Hunter King, Daniel Southwell, Michael McGrady, and Tab Goggins.
