Michael Wade McDonald

Michael is survived by his wife, Tonya McDonald; his children Justin McDonald, Abby McDonald, Swayze Gooden, and Ava Gooden; his brother Tim McDonald (Debra), his sisters Angie Sewell (Chris), Rita Davidson and Mindy Smith; his mother-in-law Bonnie Delee (Keith); his brothers-in-law Kevin Gooden and Brad Gooden (Staci); his nephews Jason Epperson, Zack and Logan Davidson, Nathan Carter, Kane and Ty Smith, Nick Perry, Nate Benefield, Bryton White, Bradlee and Kevin Jr. Gooden and his nieces Tonya Phillips, Carrie Robertson, Lacey Sewell, Kendra Kelly, Kassidy Smith, Brittany, Destiny, Savanna Gooden, and Nyah McDonald.

Michael was preceded in death by his father Hershel McDonald and his mother Florence McDonald; his brother Rodney McDonald.

A visitation for Michael will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with Pastor Mark Deason officiating.

Michael will be laid to rest in Fayetteville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Jason Epperson, Nathan Carter, Kane Smith, Ty Smith, Ty Harrell, Kevin Gooden, Jr. and Kenneth Smith.

Michael was a painter. He loved to listen to music and to fish. Everyone loved him.
