01/10/1947-10/12/2021
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Hope, her sister-in-law, Joyce Hudgins and her son, Johnny Paul Phillips.
She is survived by her husband of over 57 years Johnny R Phillips, Daughter Freda Criss (Randy), Daughter-in-law Sherri Phillips, Grandson Joseph Criss (Courtney), Granddaughter Emily Butler (Matthew), Great Granddaughter Audrey Butler, Great Grandson Noah Butler, Brothers Donald Hope (Julie), Fredy Hope (Joyce), and Michael Hope (Penelope), Sister Mary Harmon (Danny), Brother-in-law Nathan Phillips (Elaine), Sisters-in-law Hazel Ogle, June Phillips, Janice Phillips, and Betty Phillips, Uncle T. S. Walton, Aunt Charlotte (Mack) Freeman, And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews close friends, and children/grandchildren of her heart.
She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, baptized in the early 1960's. She loved to talk to others about her faith in God and teach them about God's Kingdom. (See Jw.org website for more info.)
She loved to travel to the Mountains or the Beach, to spend time with her friends/family, and to cook large meals--always making sure everyone had enough to eat. She "adopted" the friends of her children and grandchildren as hers in her heart.
She worked for many years as an office manager first at Gibson's Department Store, then Western Auto and finally Sycamore Water Authority but her faith and family were her main priorities.
Special thanks to Sherri, Chris and Stephanie for helping make sure she was comfortable and to all the Friends from Sylacauga & Alexander City for their love and support during her illness and the loss of her son.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
