My loving prayers go out to you and the family. I am so sorry for your loss. Mother (Carrie Love Carlise) loved Paul and you so much. You both were so loving to her in her days of need. Childhood memories rush my mind of all the days Paul & David and myself spent as children at Papa & Nanny Woods. May you have peace in God's love.

Dearest Judy, Steven, Sharon and David,
I am so very sorry for your (our) loss.
Paul and I were first cousins and had many good times together, as children. I will never forget learning to ride a bike.  I got on Paul's bike at Nannie Wood's house (on a hill) and rode to my house across the road (picking up speed along the way) when I realized, I didn't know how to apply the brakes to stop the bike.  He was trying to tell me, but I didn't understand.  I ran the bike into a tree to stop & when I did I smashed the basket on Paul's bike. Needless to say, I got the jolt of my young life & knew I must be in trouble with Paul and my Mother.  To my great surprise, Paul took it well.  I have memories of so many good times we had.  Easter was very special. We had huge Easter Egg Hunts.  Our families would get together at Nannie Wood's house on weekends for fish suppers.  After graduating from high school, I moved to Anniston to work, married and started my family. We didn't know much that was going on in each others life, but I will always have precious memories of Paul Sanford Wood.  May God bless each of you as you live on with memories of your beloved husband, Daddy and Brother.
