Peggy graduated from Ensley High School in 1962, where she was a member of the honor society. She was married to Billy Guy Davis for 61 years, a union marked by love and commitment until his passing.
Peggy was the beloved mother of Robert Davis (Tammie), and the late Richard Davis and Randy Davis. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Shanna Varner (Kevin). Peggy's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Kristal Whitman (Paul), Allison Davis (Justin), Randi Davis, Kayla Davis, and Kylie Davis, as well as her great-grandchildren, Rebecka Whitman, Daniel Whitman, Gunner Nixon, Harper Nixon, and Alexander Whitman.
She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Mingledorff, her brother, Mike Kirkland (Renae), and numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her sister, Pat Mullanix.
Peggy completely adored her grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her final resting place will be at the Fayetteville United Methodist Church Cemetery, located at 5441 Old Fayetteville Rd., Fayetteville. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel, located at 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama, on February 9, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Fayetteville United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5441 Old Fayetteville Rd., Fayetteville, Alabama, on February 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Peggy will be laid to rest at the Fayetteville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brooks Dobson, Matt Vanzant, Mark Vanzant, Duncan Clardy, Jason Nelson and Justin Nixon.
