Meme, as so many people knew her, was one of the most generous people you could ever know. She would give anyone whatever she had, even if it would leave her without! My family adopted Meme into our family, when my brother married Cheryl. Jeff and I, along with our children and grandchildren have loved and cherished her since she entered our lives. Because of the life she lived, we know without a doubt, she is with our Heavenly Father now singing and dancing! Meme was a very special lady to so many people! She will be missed deeply but we know she is now healed! Praise God! Jeff and Cheryl, Frenchie and Jackie, we love you all!

My heart is saddened by the news. Peggy was a God send. She was like a second mother to me growing up. I will always cherish the times she use to put me in her lap and sing those silly songs. She always knew how to make you feel better. I will always love you

Peggy Floyd, MeMe is her name to me and will always be her name. Growing up I lived at MeMe’s with Deven, Candice, and my sister Lindsay. We were always at Her and Grandad’s House. She took two children who wasn’t her blood and showed us the love of a Grandmother like we were her own. We would run around her house and never did she get upset. We would eat all her popsicles and she made the most beautiful cakes. We were lucky that MeMe made us cakes for our birthdays growing up and gave us pool parties. We would sneak her perfectly made flowers and eat them. We never knocked... we always walked right in. She helped make Halloween costumes for all of us and her and my mom made us smocked dresses growing up. We all matched..... she was the kindest most loving person and Honestly there isn’t enough words in the world to describe such a special God loving woman. What I do know, she loved me and cared for me and never made me feel I didn’t belong to her family. She was family to me and to know her was to love her. There was no way you couldn’t. She radiates love and kindness. MeMe I know you can see me and I know you can hear me as I type this. Thank you for loving me and letting me be in your family. Thank you for being my Grandmother. I will cherish you for the rest of my life and I know I will see you again. You are a blessing and I know you are in Heaven, healthy and rejoicing with our Lord. You have always been a strong Woman of God and you were strong until he called you home. When I held your hand and you said, I can look in your eyes and tell you love me. You knew I loved and love you so much. Thank you for being my MeMe and sharing yourself with two young girls and letting us have you as family. I’ll love you forever.... P.S. We all love you Bad!!!

MeMe wasn’t my biological grandmother but to me she was my mine and I was her granddaughter. She loved me and my sister like we were her own. She had the biggest heart and was one of the sweetest people that I’ve ever known. Candice McGrady Graham and I spent the night with her on the weekends and spent most of our summer days in her pool. I learned how to swim in her pool when I was 3 years old. She introduced me to Shirley Temple, old Disney Classics like Pollyanna, and the Home Shopping Network 😆 She bought Christmas presents for me and my family. She made the best homemade cakes and almond bark suckers/candy. She made my birthday cakes as a kid and cupcakes for my homeroom class at school. She even made my Halloween costumes. There wasn’t anything that she couldn’t make. She was so talented. She had a heart of gold. We will miss her so much but we’re so glad that she is free of illness and no longer suffering. We love and miss you MeMe ❤️

Peggy was a friend to everyone. She always had time to listen and share wisdom with any one. She could make you laugh, and was always there if you had to cry. I will always cherish the time i had with her.

I can honestly say that all of my memories with Peggy and her family are my favorite. She was my true friend, and I’m very sad that because of health reasons, I can’t be there for Cheryl, Frenchie and families. I am praying for all. I have missed her a long time since I live in Florida, but was privileged to spend awhile with her months ago. We took a video of us and we sang HE TOUCHED ME.. I LOVED HER AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING HER AGAIN!
