Reather Dowdy Culpepper, age 91, of Eufaula, Alabama passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Reather was born in Sycamore, Alabama to Irene Dowdy and Huey E. Dowdy Sr..

Reather is survived by her brother Huey E. Dowdy Jr. and her sister Carol Jane Green; her grandchild Patrick Culpepper, her grandchild Charissa Culpepper, her great grandchild Patricia Culpepper, her great grandchild Christopher Culpepper, her great grandchild Neil Culpepper, her great grandchild Josalyn Livingston and her great great grandchild Oakley Britt Livingston.

Reather was preceded in death by her son Carmel Britt Culpepper; her father Huey E. Dowdy Sr. and her mother Irene Dowdy; her brother Hugh Dowdy.

A graveside service for Reather will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, AL 35150. All services will be officiated by Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams.
