Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Rev. James Edward Maddox, 73, will be Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Bro. Ethan Langford and Bro. Dan Jarrett officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Springs Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Rev. Maddox died Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston & Leeomea Maddox, and wife, Sarah Burton Maddox. Rev. Maddox was a pastor to many at the Bible Baptist Church for 46 years.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Maddox; two sons, Keith Maddox, Kevin (Janice) Maddox; daughter, Kimberly Williams; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Geraldine Lovett.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Houston Maddox, Chance Maddox, Trevor Williams, Mark Jarrett, Taylor Hawkins and Brian Hawkins.
