Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Rhoda David "Indian" Stafford, 72, will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Tommy Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mr. Stafford died Sunday, July 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, David Stafford, mother, Clara Dean Madison, and sister, Shirley Dean Ray. Mr. Stafford loved spending time with family and friends. He was always there for those in need and was well known as the "Indian Chief". David was always the life of the party. Making people laugh brought him great joy and he always had a joke for every situation. He was an avid horse rider and loved riding on the Wagon Train for many years.
He is survived by his companion, Sharon Freeman Stafford; two daughters, Heather (Jon ) Bailey, Michelle Williams (Bill) Mayne; five grandchildren, Jonathan Lane Bailey, David Lance Bailey, Layla Isabella Ann Bailey, Joshua Zak Mayne, William Michael Mayne; and two great-grandchildren, Bexley Rae Bailey, Huntlyn Ann Bailey.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Zak Mayne, Paul Matherson, Timmy Burks, Daryl Bryant, Lane Bailey, Lance Bailey, Michael Mayne and Chris Roland. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Henley, Freddie Limbaugh, Robert Morris, Travis Nailor and Wayne Payton.
