Richard Ragsdale

Richard was a great son, brother, father, and husband. He has worked on every forklift in this area. He never met a stranger and was always there if you needed him. He was the biggest aggravator in the world and loved by all who knew him. He had a heart of gold and loved Alabama football. Richard loved his coworkers like family. He was very proud of his grandbabies. Now, he is resting peacefully with his daughter.

Richard is survived by his wife, Rhonda Ragsdale; his children Charity Ragsdale Edwards (Cody), Andy Owings (Ashleigh), April Burkes (Steven), and Johnathon Owings, his grandchildren Leighton Harlow, Dakota Waldrop, Destiny Owings, Karra Owings, Hunter Owings, Gracie Edwards, JoLeigh Burks, Neko Burks, and Nora Owings, his cousin Kevin Ragsdale (Dana), his great nephew Devin Ragsdale (Morgan), his great niece Britney Ragsdale and his special friend David Jones.

Richard was preceded in death by his daughter Chasity Tameaka Ragsdale; his parents Milton and Flora Mae Ragsdale; his brothers Possum Ragsdale and Tony Ragsdale; his nephew Jamie Ragsdale.

A visitation for Richard will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM with pastor David Bearden officiating.
