Rossie D. Osbourn

Funeral service for Rossie D. Osbourn, age 87, of Sylacauga will be Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11AM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Rev. Miles Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Jean Osbourn, son: Billy Osbourn, brother: Robert Lee Osbourn and sister: Lizzie Dennis. He was a teamster for Russ Engineers and retired from Avondale Mills after 30 years where he worked at the Sycamore, Pell City and Sylacauga plants. He was involved in Boy Scouts and loved music and dancing “picking and grinning.” Survivors are his sons: Wayne Osbourn (Shelby), Kelly Osbourn (Miranda), daughters: Becky Bearden, Linda McDaniel (Rocky), Toni Windham (Earl), daughter-in-law: Sheila Osbourn White (John), sisters: Flossie Mizzell, Mary Lula Mizzell and 76 grandchildren and great grandchildren and special girlfriend: Vida Patterson. Pallbearers will be Dustin Osbourn, Zachary Osbourn, Daryl McDaniel, Ross Windham, Leslie Lackey, and Bryan Osbourn, and honorary pallbearers are Lance Lackey, Waylon Windham and Jeff Osbourn.
