Ruth C BarberChildersburg, AL - Funeral service for Ruth C Barber, 88, will Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 3:30 PM at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. David Houston officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mrs. Barber went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Sylacauga Health and Rehab.  She attended Living Waters Church in Chelsea, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Amanda Corbin and one son, Ottis Ray.She is survived by her eight children, Cecil (Tammy) Colburn, Larry (Gayla) Colburn, Faye (Frank) Brannon, Melba (Jack) Duffee, James (Freida) Colburn, Janie McDonald, Ronnie (Kathy) Concord and Linda Hall, sister, Mary Barton, 31 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Grandsons Wayne Colburn, David Roland, Randy Hobson, Allen Miller, Kirk Concord, Kevin McDonald, Brandon Hall, Tracy Colburn and Greg Colburn will serve as pallbearers.A special thanks from our family to the nursing staff at Sylacauga Health and Rehab and the New Beacon Hospice Care Nursing staff that helped care for our mother.Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
