Thomas J. Brown, Jr.Sylacauga, AL - Graveside service for Thomas J. Brown, Jr., 72, will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Childersburg City Cemetery with Bro. Cary Brown and Bro. Jeremy Brown officiating. Mr. Brown died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Coosa Valley Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Brown, Sr., grandparents, Albert and Nora Culberson and Virgil and Willie Martin Brown.  Mr. Brown was a graduate of Childersburg High School, Auburn University and UAB.  He was a veteran of the Air Force and served in Vietnam.  He was a beloved son and brother and at the age of 12, he became the man of the house due to the death of his father.He is survived by his mother, Roberta C. Carver; brothers, Maurice Brown, wife Linda of Douglasville, GA, Glenn Brown, wife Tina of Sylacauga, Cary Brown, wife Mary of Sylacauga and  Brian Carver of Sylacauga; sister, Jan Whitaker of Columbus, GA; two nieces; eight nephews; one great-niece and  seven great-nephews.  Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.Pallbearers will be Steven Brown, Glenn Brown, Jr., Matthew Canoles, Jeremy Brown, Jesse Brown and Kyfer Carver.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
