

Sylvania –Gardie Albert Pierce, age 79, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011, at Syl-View Health Care Center in Sylvania. He was born in Screven County, was a retired auto paint and body shop worker and was a member of Little Horse Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Robert Thomas & Hattie Mae Lambert Pierce.
Survivors: Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Dianne & Robert Kinsey of Atlanta and Belinda & Paul Washlesky of Eatonton, GA; Sons and Daughter-In-Law: Alvin & Linda Diane Pierce of Rincon and Michael Pierce of Brooklet; 6 Grandchildren: Amber Latrell Pierce of Pooler, Jeffery Pierce of Rincon, Robert Pierce of Meldrum, Candace Pierce of Statesboro, James Kinsey of Atlanta and Julie K. Shipkoski of Atlanta; 1 Great-Grandchild; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Monday, April 11, 2011 at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Monday, April 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. David Buie and Rev. Steve Purnell officiating. Burial at Little Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
