

He was born in Screven County, Georgia and a life-long member of Double Heads Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Air Forces Veteran of World War II and retired from Builderama in Savannah in 1989. He also worked for Possum Eddy Ace Hardware in Sylvania for a time. He graduated from Sylvania High School, Class of 1942. He was also a member of the Cameron Huning Club.
Survivors include: His wife, Bertie Knight Howard, Savannah, A Daughter and Son-in-Law, Rosemary Howard, and Greg Herrle, Holiday Florida, Step-Daughters, Kim Simmons, Savannah, and Brenda Green, Atlanta, A Son, Robin Howard, Statesboro, A Step- Son, Kevin Knight, Savannah, A Brother-in-Law, Marion Jordan, Statesboro, 4 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews, and a Life-Long friend Williard H, Lariscy, Jr, Slyvania.
He was preceded in death by his Sister, Floreine Jordan.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010, at 3:00 P.M. at the Double Heads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Joyner officiating.
Visitition will be held at the cemetery following the Service.
